Trainee grants

The RANZCP is pleased to offer support for trainees working in a Specialist Training Program (STP) or Integrated Rural Training Pipeline (IRTP) post, and trainees that identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, in the preparation
for assessments.


Exam Preparation Grants for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Trainees

Are you planning on taking the MCQ, Essay Style or OSCE this year?

The RANZCP has grants up to $3,000 available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees to access an exam preparation workshop of their choice in 2019 and 2020.

This grant is intended to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees on their pathway to Fellowship.

How do I apply?

Key dates

  • Applications are now open for 2019 Grants.
  • For 2019 Grants, the exam preparation program must be completed prior to 31 December 2019.
  • For 2020 Grants, the exam preparation program must be completed prior to 31 December 2020.
  • Applications are subject to the availability of Grant funding, should the allocation be exhausted, the RANZCP reserves the right to close applications.

Scholarly Project Grants for trainees in an STP or IRTP post

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) has available grants up to $750 for trainees working in a post funded by the Specialist Training Program (STP), including Integrated Rural Training Pipeline (IRTP) posts, to access tutorage for assistance for a specific aspect of their Scholarly Project.
 
The objective of this program is to increase support for trainees in an STP or IRTP post, particularly those working in rural and remote areas.

How to apply?

  • Please read the 2019-20 Guidelines [PDF; 239 KB] to learn more about the eligibility criteria and application process
  • Once you have read the guidelines, submit an online application form
  • Please ensure you upload a Letter of Support [DOCX; 631 KB]  from your Scholarly Project supervisor with your application
