The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Queensland Branch is delighted to invite you to our 2023 annual CME weekend in the beautiful tropical location of Cairns, North Queensland.

The program includes a constellation of speakers who will revolutionise our thoughts and practice. When the beating of our hearts echo the beating of the drums, there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes.

Cairns is a popular tourist destination that provides ample opportunities for families, romantics, adventurers, and budding ornithologists. There are activities for everyone: fine dining, boutique shopping, the Great Barrier Reef, and rainforest excursions.

We look forward to you joining our crusade once again at the 2023 Qld Branch CME weekend.

The inspirational program is headlined by Keynote speaker A/Prof Julia Lappin.

The Welcome Reception will be held on the evening of Friday 21 July. Guests are welcome to attend this function (at a charge of $55 per guest).

The conference venue is the Shangri-La Marina Cairns, ideally located on the marina with ease of access to local attractions, memorable culinary experiences, shopping opportunities, and for those who prefer some adventure, World Heritage listed rainforests and landmarks.

Terms and conditions

Cancellation policy

All requests for cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the Queensland Branch office. Cancellations received before 5th July will incur a $95.00 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after this date. Substitute delegates may be accepted. All applications for substitution must be made in writing to the Queensland Branch office.

COVID-19 compliance

The health and safety of conference attendees is our highest priority. The RANZCP is mindful of the health risks posed by COVID-19, and the importance of following official medical advice with respect to social distancing, practicing good hygiene and staying at home when unwell. The RANZCP requests that any delegate who is feeling unwell or has cold or flu like symptoms, or who may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, not attend the conference.

If, on medical grounds, you are unable to attend the conference, you must cancel your attendance in writing by email to ranzcp.qld@ranzcp.org.  A full refund will be provided; however, you may be asked to provide additional details.
