OnlineThe Psychiatry Interest Forum (PIF) will be hosting its annual Introduction to Psychiatry Online Short Course on Saturday 21 October from 11 am-1.15 pm AEDT.
Other time zones: 8 am AWST/ 9.30 am ACST/ 10 am AEST/ 10.30 am ACDT/ 1 pm NZDT.
This live short course will allow you to gain further insights into a day/week in the life of a psychiatrist, cover a diverse range of psychiatry subspecialties, as well as different practice opportunities and the RANZCP training program from our trainees and psychiatrists. There will also be an opportunity to ask live questions in a 30-minute Q&A session towards the end of the course.

You are invited to register for this course by completing the pre-course survey by Monday 9 October. As part of the registration survey, you are welcome to indicate any topics that you would like to see covered in the short course, and we will try our best to include the most popular topics.

Dr Louise Randall
NSW Representative on the RANZCP Bi-national Committee for Trainees (BCT)
Dr Randall came to Medicine late, following a 20-year career in broadcast journalism, latterly running the ABC’s news operations in NSW. After medical school at Sydney University and internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, she joined the RANZCP’s training program.
She is in Stage 3 of training, currently working in a community role where she sees patients aged 14-25 following a first episode of psychosis. Dr Randall also sees patients presenting to the Emergency Department of Royal Prince Alfred Hospital during afterhours shifts. She is mum to a teenage son. When not working or studying she enjoys cooking and travelling.
