Indigenous mental health

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) recognises and is firmly committed to supporting the entitlement of Māori, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to effective mental health care which is appropriate to their culture and needs.

One of the RANZCP’s core values, as outlined in our strategic plan, is ‘Improved health outcomes and access to mental health services for Indigenous populations.’

These pages provide information and resources designed to support the work of mental health practitioners working with Māori, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or communities.
