Got a great research project and need some funding to help get it off the ground? The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists wants to help! Applications are now open for the New Investigator Grants and the Research and Education Foundation Grant.
New Investigator Grants:
The New Investigator Grant program is designed to encourage those who are new to research and require a small amount of funding to conduct a small-scale study.
The program provides a number of small grants on a competitive basis to facilitate research projects. Grants of between A$500 and A$6000 are available to:
- Trainees in any year of the training program
- College Fellows in the first 2 years of Fellowship.
Research and Education Foundation Grant:
The Research and Education Foundation Grant is offered by the Research and Education Foundation, and is intended to support RANZCP Fellows who might be new to research, or who are considering pursuing a career interest in research.
The Grant comprises one A$10,000 award designed to encourage applicants to undertake innovative research in psychiatry. It is intended to support a more substantial body of work than might be undertaken in, for example, the College Scholarly Project or an Advanced Trainee Project.
Applications for both the New Investigator Grants program and the Research and Education Foundation Grant close at 9am on Monday 13 August 2018 (AEST).
Please visit the Research Grants webpage for information on eligibility criteria and instructions on how to apply.
