As part of the RANZCP’s commitment to continuing medical education and improved services to its members, selected sessions from the conferences below were video recorded, for access via webstreaming.

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Section of Psychotherapy Conference
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Section of Psychotherapy Conference was held at the Sebel Albert Park Hotel in Melbourne from 22 to 24 July 2011, with a theme of "Loosening the Gordian Knot: Psychotherapy with the difficult patient." The conference was headlined by keynote presentations by Glen Gabbard, Professor of Psychiatry and Brown Foundation Chair of Psychoanalysis at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

RANZCP 2011 Congress
Almost 1000 delegates attended the first ever RANZCP Congress to be held in Darwin which took place from 29 May to 2 June 2011.
With a theme of 'Close relations', particular focus was placed on emergent issues relevant to northern Australia, such as indigenous mental health and psychiatric issues relevant to south east Asia and the Pacific.

RANZCP Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Australian Association for Infant Mental Health 2011 conference
The conference, held in Perth from 12 to 14 May 2011, was co-hosted by the RANZCP’s Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Australian Association for Infant Mental Health. The theme was ‘Growing up Solid: Integrating emotional and mental health throughout infancy, childhood and adolescence’.

Inaugural Medicine in Addiction conference 2011 RANZCP Section of Addiction Psychiatry
The Inaugural Medicine in Addiction conference, held in Melbourne from 18 to 20 of March 2011, focused on providing delegates with an insight into the problem of addiction and dependency in a range of clinical settings. Over 200 delegates attended the event which was co-hosted by The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Section of Addiction Psychiatry and The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

RANZCP Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age Annual Scientific Meeting
Close to 150 delegates came together over two and a half days at the University of Tasmania to discuss developments in old age psychiatry. Topics tackled included anxiety, depression, dementia and Alzheimer's disease. To view, click here.
RANZCP Faculty of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry 2010 Annual Meeting
The RANZCP Faculty of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry 2010 Annual Meeting was held in the Barossa Valley, South Australia from 7 to 10 October 2010. The conference theme, “Tracking Trajectories – influences on developmental pathways from infancy to whatever!”, was keenly embraced by keynote speakers and delegates alike. To view, click here.

The 2010 RANZCP Congress was held in Auckland, New Zealand from 2-6 May 2010. The theme of the Congress was "A Shared Endeavour" and featured an exciting line-up of speakers.

RANZCP Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age Annual Scientific Meeting 2008
The meeting’s theme was "Mental Health and Ageing: Preparing for Our Future", to emphasise the need for members of all disciplines to work together to provide high quality medical, psychological, social and spiritual support to older people with complex mental and physical problems.
