The Consult Liaison Department is an experienced and dynamic multi-disciplinary mental health team which provides mental health consultation and liaison services to the medical and surgical inpatients and outpatients of Starship Children's Health.
 
The department is seeking a part-time (26 hours per week) Child Psychiatrist, with particular interests in Infant Mental Health to provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment within a multi-disciplinary setting, using biopsychosocial models as well as being responsible for pharmacological and other physical aspects of mental health.
 
You will work collaboratively with our existing medical staff and the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment for our younger clients and their families.
 
You will have a postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry and be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. RANZCP fellowship is essential

Mental Health ACT (MHACT) seeks applications for part time or full time consultant Psychiatrists, Senior Consultant Psychiatrists across the service. There will likely be a variety of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and consultation liaison duties including co-morbidity assessment. These are current and anticipated vacancies, over the next three months.

MHACT provides Mental Health Services for Canberra and the South East region of New South Wales serving a population of about half a million. MHACT is a major teaching service of the Australian National University (ANU) Medical School and has well-developed undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs and a state-of-the-art medical library. Psychiatry services in the Auckland region include mental health services across the 3 Auckland Health Boards – Waitemata (North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals), Auckland (Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital) and Counties Manukau (Middlemore Hospital). These comprise of four teaching hospitals and day clinics all located within a 20 mile radius of each other, providing primary care to a diverse population of over 1 million residents.
 
Training in Psychiatry in the Auckland region is primarily in the apprenticeship model, with registrars working alongside psychiatrist supervisors in multidisciplinary clinical teams. Clinical experience in a variety of areas is required, via rotation through training attachments in which experience is gained in adult psychiatry both in inpatient and community settings, consultation-liaison psychiatry in a general hospital, old age psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Additional subspecialty psychiatric experiences may include rehabilitation, forensic psychiatry, drug and alcohol services, etc. During these attachments trainees must receive at least three hours of clinical supervision per week and at least one hour per week of individual supervision, for at least 40 weeks of the year.
