Psychiatry elective scholarship for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander medical students General Council of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) has approved an annual scholarship of AU$2,500 for a medical student of indigenous background in each of Australia and New Zealand to pursue an elective in psychiatry during their under-graduate course.
Applications should be made in writing to:
Director of Education Administrative Officer (Training) RANZCP, 309 La Trobe Street, Melbourne 3000 Applications shall include:
- A letter from the applicant giving details of the proposed elective and the expected benefits for their career;
- A letter of support from the applicant’s Medical School;
- A letter of support from the department(s) or institution(s) where the elective is to be undertaken; and
- A letter from the relevant Indigenous group - Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - indicating their support of the applicant as an appropriate person to undertake the proposed elective.
