Gaining Fellowship
Specialist IMGs based in New Zealand wishing to gain Fellowship are required to apply to the RANZCP. This process is outlined on the Specialist Assessment page.
Please note the processes for specialist registration differ between New Zealand (regulated by the Medical Council of New Zealand, MCNZ) and Australia (regulated by the Australian Medical Council, AMC). As part of its procedures, the MCNZ seeks the advice of the RANZCP regarding a specialist IMGs training and experience as a specialist. However, this process of assessment for vocational registration is separate from the RANZCP pathway to Fellowship for specialist IMGs.
For more information on the pathway to Fellowship for specialist IMGs, please review the information on the College website, or email Specialist IMG Education staff via the Contacts page.
