Promote the objects of the College (as stated in the Constitution) with particular reference to the area of consultation-liaison psychiatry;

Promote and encourage the study of consultation-liaison psychiatry in all its aspects by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge;

Promote and encourage the highest theoretical, practical and ethical standards in the delivery of consultation-liaison psychiatry services;

Promote and encourage training in consultation-liaison psychiatry of the highest standard for trainee psychiatrists, medical undergraduates and students of related mental health professions;

Promote and facilitate research in consultation-liaison psychiatry;

Liaise and cooperate with societies and associations outside the College in the study and practice of consultation-liaison psychiatry;

Assist the College in the preparation of position statements and other memoranda on consultation-liaison psychiatry

Interest and inform the general community concerning consultation-liaison psychiatry, and particularly to promote a clear understanding of the subject.
